It looks like it’s going to be a quiet springtime in Ottawa. In an announcement on Monday, organizers confirmed that the Ottawa Tulip Festival is cancelled, and all of the event’s displays and entertainment will be moving online. While the festival is no longer scheduled to go ahead, thousands of flowers have already been planted across the city.
On Monday afternoon, organizers of the largest tulip festival in the worldannounced that their physical event would no longer be able to go ahead, due to COVID-19 concerns in Ottawa.
While this is surely a disappointment for the 600,000 people that usually attend the event, there will still be an opportunity to enjoy the displays and celebrations online.
