Garden Rhymes Studio

Garden Rhymes ® decorative ceramic art tiles are made in my home studio. Once a design is created, I hand-carve the design, creating a linoleum stamp which is impressed into clay, dried, kiln fired, glazed and kiln-fired a second time. My work is detailed, colourful and textural. The designs are filled with botanical motifs (and many times, quotes or sayings) and they reflect the folk art style reminiscent of my Slovak heritage.

I have been working in ceramics since in 1999 and I have been a member of the Saskatchewan Craft Council since that time. While I am a self-taught in ceramics, I did take art classes in various disciplines while obtaining my BEd at the University of Saskatchewan.
