About

Meet our Directors Emeritus

Grant & Pam Hooker founded the BeaverTails company in 1978. They started with one store in Ottawa’s ByWard Market and a humble Winterlude shack right here on Dow’s Lake! Now there are nearly 200 franchise stores across Canada and in several countries around the world. “An important part of getting our business started was by serving BeaverTails to the public at major festivals in the national capital region. We are proud Directors Emeritus to the Canadians Tulip Festival, after 40 years of service, and yes! You can still find BeaverTails at the Festival to this day!”
