John Kamstra

He was in The Netherlands during the war! Remembered it all so well! He was in Friesland during the war! He immigrated with his family at the age of 15 yrs old in May of 1954! They settled in the Holland Marsh to work on the farms! October that same year Hurricane Hazel hit and their home was flooded and they had go be rescued , with all they brought from The Netherlands destroyed ! Despite being pulled from school ,John became self educated and a brilliant entrepreneur! He. Became very successful at one time running and owning 5 different businesses giving jobs to so many. He became a Canadian citizen as soon as it was possible for him to do so. He was a pillar of the community and sadly we lost him on September 11/ 2019.
His ’Celebration of Life ’ will be Friday October 4th. I have placed a large order for the tulips for the guests who attend our ceremony. I am so hoping they arrive in time! Marilyn Kamstra, Tottenham Ontario. L0G 1W0, Thank you
