I am planting for my dad, Napoleon Belanger, my uncles Alphonse Belanger and Roger Firman and my nephew Rowan Horrick.

My dad, Napoleon Belanger served as a bombardier with the Canadian Artillery. My uncle Alphonse Belanger, my dad’s brother was a Private with the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders and died at Dieppe in “Operation Jubilee” on August 19, 1942. He was 22 years of age. My mom’s brother, Roger Firman was a Corporal with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles, landed at Juno Beach June 6, 1944 and was murdered by the Nazi SS on June 8, 1944. He was 21 years of age. My nephew, Rowan Horrick served with the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders and served two years in Bosnia.
