I am planting for Frank Ernest Adlam Sr.

My grandpa was away for six years, from 1939 to 1945. He left his family in Toronto. He sent money home but it wasn’t enough to prevent them from losing their house and a parcel of land. For a dad my dad and siblings and mom lived in a garage. Three times my own dad Frank lied about his age and enlisted in the army, navy and Air Force. My uncle Jack served also. Here they are all pictured upon his return. He was a Sgt Major and served in many battles. He came home with medals, wounds and emotional scars. The family was fractured.
