BUTLER, Cpl. Thomas Edward

Dad was in the Canadian Army, R.C.E.M.E Corp. He served in England, France, Belgium and Germany. He was in Holland for the Liberation with many other Canadian Soldiers. He stated that the experience was when he felt closest to God in his life. The Dutch people had been so demoralized and starved during the German Occupation and it was such a wonderful feeling for him to be on the side freeing them of that sad oppression.
