I am planting for my uncle Edward Crowther Jones from Saskatchewan, and Joyce (nee) Ashton from Lincoln. On May 2 1944 , they were a happily engaged couple celebrating their birthdays. On May 3/4 my uncle was in a Lancaster flying towards Mailly-Le-Camp France when it was shot down and he is now buried in Cheniers France. I believe Joyce eventually married another Canadian serviceman and moved to Canada. They were both about 22 years old.
