The Festival – Tuesday May 18, 7-10 pm

For this session you will need:

• Watercolor Brushes
• 140 lb Arches cold press (Fabriano or hot press will tear with the masking technique we will be using)
• Packing Tape – the 3” rolls used by the Post Office – (Can be purchased at any hardware store)
• Box cutter or Exacto knife with a sharp blade
• Your favorite palette colors: I use a lot of Cobalt Blue Ultramarine Blue Aureolin yellow Permanent Rose
• We will be learning to paint a black background so in order to mix the black we will need the following colors: Prussian Blue Carbazole Violet Alizarin Crimson and a series of earth tones: Burnt Sienna Raw Umber Raw Sienna Sepia Quin Gold

The Canadian Tulip Festival is recording the paint nights and will be offering the recordings for sale after the event. By participating in an event you consent to allowing the Canadian Tulip Festival to use the video for sales purposes. A portion of all proceeds collected will support local artists in Ottawa through our partnership with Arteast.
