Poterie LM Serafin Pottery was established in 2003 in West Quebec. Lisa-Marie is the sole proprietor of the business, desgning and creating all the pottery in her tiny workshop in Mayo. She works in stoneware for its durabilty and prefers functional pottery that is designed to be used for every day living. Lisa-Marie’s goal is to make a beautiful piece of pottery in which you can enjoy your morning coffee, afternoon tea, or a special meal.
For the 2022 edition of the Canadian Tulip Festival, Lisa-Marie has created mugs and small plates in a pale shade of blue, and a deep, rich cobalt blue, a nod to the delft blue pottery made famously in The Netherlands. The tulip motif on each piece is to commemorate the Canadian Tulip Festival, a wonderful spring event that has a rich history in Ottawa.
