Frank Mehring, professor of American Studies at Radboud University, Nijmegen. He teaches 20th and 21st century visual culture and music, theories of popular culture, transnational modernism, and processes of cultural translation in Euro-American contexts. In his book, “The Soundtrack of Liberation”, Dr. Mehring researched and presented 300 songs by Dutch Composers in the summer of 1945.
