COMMISSIONERS PARK - The Garden Tulip Experience

One of four Festival locations, The Garden Tulip Experience is produced in collaboration with the National Capital Commission, Official Gardeners of the National Capital Region and the Canadian Tulip Festival. Spend some time in the tulips and enjoy live musical entertainment; watch artists at work among the tulip beds; take in a 1-KM panorama of over 250, 000 show-stopping mass-planted tulip beds along the shores of Dow's Lake where interpretive signage and guided tours offer opportunities to learn about tulips and the Festival. A special parking lot at the Queen Juliana Park, a few minutes from Commissioners Park (off of Queen Elizabeth Drive and south of Preston Street) is available for a flat rate of $15. Spots can be reserved for specific days by clicking here.

Dows Lake Pavilion is the ideal location for people looking to enjoy the Rideau Canal and Dows Lake. Situated at 1001 Queen Elizabeth Drive in Ottawa, it offers an abundance of parking, options for recreational activities, appetising restaurants with scenic water views and is an easy access point for individuals that don’t want to battle traffic or deal with the headache of finding a parking spot in a busy downtown core.

The Pavilion is a favourite destination for residents and tourists of Ottawa. It’s a hub for outdoor enthusiasts as it’s a great spot to exercise, relax and enjoy Ottawa’s beautiful scenery with food and beverage options after.

People looking to enjoy this beautiful site can rent canoes, kayaks and paddleboats in the warmer months and rent skates and/or sleighs from the Pavilion so they can explore the National Capital Region’s finest treasure. There’s also a Marina offering fuel and serviced docking facilities to boaters.
